07 oktober Gathering of Mustangs and Legends 2007Sonja and I went to the Gathering of Mustangs and Legends 2007 air show in Columbus a few weeks ago. I wasn't too thrilled about going at first. But, once I got there I was very impressed with some of the planes on display. When we first got there the Air Force Thunderbirds were putting on a show. Very cool!! We also saw some very, very large Air Force cargo planes. Naturally, there were a lot of P-51 Mustangs on display. A very cool pyrotechnics show was also put on display to show off the destruction that some of the WWII era plans might do. Awesome!! You can see more pictures from the show on my Flickr site. 20 maart Xbox 360 EliteOld Xbox 360 busted? Thinking of getting a new one? Well, maybe you should hold out a little longer and try to snag a Xbox 360 Elite. Engadget is reporting that Microsoft will release a black Xbox 360 Elite. Along with a few other goodies, the Xbox 360 Elite will come with a 120GB hard drive and an HDMI output. Sweeta!

26 juli NCAA Football 07 (Xbox 360)I was at Best Buy yesterday in hopes of getting to play NCAA Football 07 (Xbox 360) on their demo console. I didn't get the chance since some other diehard Buckeye fan was whooping the crap out of M*ch@g$n with the mighty Ohio State Buckeyes. So, I decided to check out the NCAA Football 07 box. Much to my surprise, and delight, there was the venerable Ohio Stadium on the back cover art!!! Yes, the back cover of NCAA Football 07 (at least the Xbox 360 version) has a shot of Ohio Stadium.
I did notice that the Ohio State Buckeyes are ranked #1 in the game too. Rightfully so. I'm very, very tempted to get this game.
1 Ticket to an OSU football game: $57
NCAA Football 07 (Xbox 36): $60
Pistol Whipping Andrew in NCAA Football 07: priceless 11 juli Xbox for saleI'm selling my original Xbox console. I'm including both controllers, the microphone, and Monster Cables for optical audio and component cable (digital audio and video).
Check it out on eBay - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=014&item=330006747446&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
05 juli Best Golf Score EverThis past Sunday I played my best golf ever. I shot a 44 over 9 holes. I know that is nothing spectacular, but it is good for me. My previous best was 47. I'm starting to figure out how to put the various pieces of my golf game together. The best part is that I understand what I'm doing wrong when it happens. Before I was unsure what I was doing wrong. I feel good about my golf game!! 06 december Suing Microsoft because of a defective Xbox 360Some moron in Chicago is suing Microsoft over an alleged design flaw in Xbox 360 that caused some new units to fail. Yeah, some Xbox 360 consoles failed. It is known and expected that a small percentage of new consumer electronics items will be defective. That is just the way it is. Everybody knows that you take a risk when you buy the first release of any new product. This holds true for consumer electronics, as well as cars.
I seem to recall there being a lot of problems with the first Play Station consoles. Did this moron sue Sony? Probably not. Why? He's probably a Microsoft hater. Heck, he probably programs in Java and runs Linux on his home computer. Microsoft hater! Microsoft hater!!
Microsoft has already said they will support customers that have a problem with their new Xbox 360 console. Microsoft will pay shipping & handling and will have a new Xbox 360 to the customer typically within 5 business days. I don't know about you, but I think that is pretty good and reasonable. 11 oktober Dairu has cool pics of the PhilippinesDairu has recently posted some really great pictures of her trip to the Philippines. Be sure to check it out.
20 september The "Omega" XBox 360 BundleGameStop.com is offering the "Omega" Xbox 360 bundle. For a mere $1,999 you can get the Xbox 360 Premium package, 20 games, 3 wireless controllers, wireless adapter, memory unit, faceplates, rechargeable battery, a year of Live service, and a replacement plan. If I was an uber-rich geek, this would be pretty nice. But, since I'm only a regular geek, I think I'll just stick with the premium Xbox 360 and a few games of my choice. 19 september I can ski!!!Last week I spent an awesome week at Norris Lake in Tennessee. I'll have more info on the happens from that week soon. But, by far, the main event was me FINALLY getting up on skis. I must have tried about 300 times (no, I am not kidding) to get up on skis. On the last day there, I finally got up on skis. I was able to ski for quite a while before falling while trying to cross the wake. After the fall, I got up and skied again for a while before this time crossing the wake and falling. You can only imagine how happy I was to finally get on the skis. It’s just too bad it happened on the last day there.
I owe a huge thanks to Brett for his willingness to keep dragging me around and trying to teach me how to ski.
If I can water ski, then anybody can!! 17 augustus Xbox 360 Pricing AnnouncedIf you haven't been saving your pennies, you had better start now. Microsoft announced pricing details for the Xbox 360. Really, the pricing structure isn't that bad at all. You can get either a $299.99 or a $399.99 system. Considering I paid $299.99 for the first Xbox, I'm ok with this. I think I'll opt for the top-of-the-line $399.99 Xbox 360. For an extra $100 you get some pretty sweet accessories - wireless controller,
22 juli Xbox Live Snags Two-Millionth MemberGamespot is reporting that Microsoft's Xbox Live service is at two million subscribers now. According to the article, Xbox Live doubled its subscriber base in about 1 year - at a rate of 1 new subscriber every 30 seconds! Now, that is impressive.
I thought this was particularly interesting given Brett's recent post on Microsoft's finicial strength and subsequent ability to challenge Sony on the home console front.
With Xbox 360 coming online later this year, Microsoft is at a perfect position to bring the fight to Sony. With the tonage of money they have in the bank, a massive marketing machine, and an ever growing user base (Brett, give me some stats on the Xbox user base vs. PS2 - I'm think age, sex, and social/economic status), I think Xbox 360 is going to put some serious pressure on Sony. Sure, Microsoft will probably still be second, at least in worldwide sales, but it'll be a much closer race!! 06 juli Vote for Best Car PicI plan on submitting pics of my car to Meguiars for their Shining Stars contest. I would like some feedback on which picture I should send in. I took several pictures this past weekend after I did a 5 hour detail job on my car. These three pictures are the best ones I think.
Please feel free to post comments or email me on which picture I should send in. New TiresA few weeks ago I had new Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires put on my 2003 Mustang Cobra. I purchased the tires from DiscountTireDirect.com because they had a good price per tire, and they offered free shipping.
These new tires are awesome! The ride is great - very smooth and even a little quiter than the original tires. The grip on these tires is just incredible. It's like the car is on rails! The Cobra corners very well anyway, but with these new tires I can take corners even faster now!! I guess that's a sure fire way to use up these tires quick. 20 juni Smokin'On Monday I'm getting new tires on my car. I have about 20,000 miles on my 2003 Cobra, so it is about time to get new tires. Therefore, I decided it was time to use what what little tread was left. On Sunday afternoon I laid some rubber and did a few smoky burnouts! That was a lot of fun!!! I've never done that before. So, smoking the tires in my car was a ton of fun!! Check out the video here. 27 april LazyThis past weekend was a great weekend for me. I didn't have to go anyplace or do much of anything important really. I had no obligations to anybody or anything other than myself. It was all that I remembered it to be. My Saturday and Sunday went pretty much like this:
Ah, but now I'm back to work and the normal grind. Yippie!! |
